What should I wear and do I need to bring anything?
Wear your normal workout clothes. Gym shoes are a must and don’t forget a water bottle!
What do the workouts consist of?
These are powerhouse workouts with a hint of fun. We want to get you moving and sweating quickly, so we use a lot of body weight plyometrics. This combines explosive cardio with push/pull resistance. Our workouts can be intense BUT there are always beginner moves to be performed if needed and we encourage you to take as many breaks as you need while going at a pace you are comfortable with. Our workout style is relaxed, non-competitive, friendly and fun. Don’t be intimidated!
Who instructs the workouts?
Our trainer, Jeff Fearon, co-founder of The Rise Fitness Boot Camp is our head trainer. Jeff is four year veteran of group fitness instruction and fitness program design. He holds a degree in the Applied Science of Health and Fitness and is an ACE Certified trainer.
How often are classes held?
We meet every Wednesday at 6:45pm.
Where are the work outs held?
Beer and Burpees workouts will take place at Chase Park's field house (indoors) located at 4701 N. Ashland Ave. For those taking public transportation, we are located 5 blocks east of the Damen brownline stop.
Where do we meet-up after the workout?
We will be heading to The Piggery located at 1625 W. Irving Park Road after your workout. We will have reserved tables and some lighthearted social time. They have great food and drinks, as well as an awesome outdoor area in the summer! Beer and Burpee clients will be offered a special 15% off of their total bill.
How do you benefit charity?
100% of all donations go to a special cause we support each month. If you have a charity in mind that you would like to support, please tell us about them- we’d love to help!
What are the perks of membership?

What is a burpee?
As urban dictionary puts it so blatantly it’s “the most badass exercise on the market, targets every muscle and improves explosiveness”, needless to say, they’re awesome and by far the most effecient body weight exercise ever conceived.
Here is how they work: Start in a standing position, squat down to the ground, put your hands in front of you and extend your feet back in a plank position, hit a push-up (if you can!), jump your feet back up to your hands, and finally jump up extending your arms above your head. Repeat!
